The Killaloe OPP has laid charges after receiving a report of a domestic dispute in Madawaska Valley Township.
Police say officer were sent to the scene of the disturbance on Old Barry’s Bay Road last Wednesday afternoon.
A police investigation led to a 24-year-old man being charged with three counts of assault, one for forcible confinement, and four counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The accused was held for a bail hearing in Pembroke Court.
His name has been withheld to protect the victim’s identity.
