An upcoming presentation and discussion in Barry’s Bay will focus on the value of building peaceful, inclusive communities.
Chris Houston, President and Co-founder of the Canadian Peace Museum, set to open soon in Bancroft, will lead the presentation.
Taking place next Monday (June 23) at the Barry’s Bay Legion Branch 406, the event is hosted by Pflag Canada Renfrew County Chapter.
He will share stories and insights from his work in war zones, working with humanitarian agencies such as the Red Cross and the United Nations.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with the talk beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is free and all are welcomed but pre-registration is required and can be done online on the Pflag website.
