Ingrid Michaelis thought she’d test her luck at the casino after winning Week 4 of the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s (SFVHF)Catch the Ace lottery — but it turns out the real luck came from closer to home.
The Palmer Rapids resident has now won two consecutive weeks in the progressive SFVHF lottery, taking home $704 in Week 5 after selecting envelope number 39, which revealed the six of spades.
Just one week earlier, Michaelis claimed the $888 prize in Week 4 after choosing envelope number 44 which revealed the ten of clubs. She bought both tickets at the Barry’s Bay Shell.
Michaelis says she plans on using the most recent winnings to buy a new lawnmower.
Next week’s estimated weekly prize is $900, with the progressive jackpot sitting at just over $6,000. If the Ace of Spades is found, the total payout would be approximately $6,918.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.sfvhfcatchtheace.com until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, or in person at participating locations until 1 p.m. on Thursday.
