More than $11,800 was raised during this year’s Smile Cookie Week in Barry’s Bay, with proceeds supporting local healthcare services.
The annual campaign, which ran from April 27 to May 4, saw $11,863 collected through the sale of Smile Cookies at the local Tim Hortons.

Funds will go to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation, which supports Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care, St. Francis Memorial Hospital and Valley Manor.
This year’s total adds to more than $77,000 raised through the campaign by Barry’s Bay Tim Hortons in support of the foundation since its involvement began.
Organizers thanked staff, volunteers and customers for their contributions to the fundraiser.
