The County of Renfrew has released its May County Construction Update, highlighting progress and upcoming plans for Madawaska Valley-based projects.
Rehabilitation work on Siberia Road is set to begin on June 2nd. The project will cover the stretch between River Road and Sunny Hill Road, with completion expected in early August. During construction, traffic will be reduced to a single alternating lane.
Work is already underway on the Combermere Bridge on County Road 62.
Located about half a kilometre south of Palmer Road, the rehabilitation began on April 2nd and is expected to wrap up by mid-November.
While the bridge will remain open, traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by temporary signals. Mill Street will be closed at Combermere Road, with a detour in place. Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained throughout the project.
