A celebration of life for mayor Mark Willmer is happening this afternoon at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre in Barry’s Bay.
Madawaska Valley Township has posted the information on their Facebook page
According to Mayor Willmer’s obituary the celebration will begin at 5 p.m. “Where stories and memories will be shared in true “Mark fashion” – with family, laughter, community, and love. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mark’s name to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation – in support of the St. Francis Valley Memorial Hospital.”

Mayor Willmer passed away on April 18, 2025.
