PC’s Billy Denault declared winner in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke riding

PC Party of Ontario candidate Billy Denault has come out on top in the Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke riding after polls closed in the 2025 provincial election.

Denault earned 54.8 per cent of the ballot, with Liberal’s Oliver Jacob coming in with 22.1 per cent of the vote.

Denault says he is excited and ready to get to work.

it was certainly a quick election period and that brought its challenges.” said Denault.

I had to get out and try and meet as many people as I could and we accomplished that task by going out, knocking on doors, going to events and meeting as many people as we could, and clearly tonight showed that the campaign worked as planned.”

I’m really humbled and grateful for the opportunity to represent the riding that is my home riding and one that I’ve lived in for pretty well all my life.”

“I’m grateful that the people of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke who have given me the opportunity to represent them in this position and I will work tirelessly and give my undying commitment to them as I am in this role.”

Denault says there are two local issues top of mind that he is ready to tackle.

“Issues I heard was certainly the Canada-US relation and infrastructure with Highway 17.”

“Those both were significant issues that we heard and I’m happy that the Ontario PC Party had a platform that touched on all of those issues.”

Denault paid respects to his fellow candidate this evening.

“To Marshall and Oliver, I certainly respect that they put their name forward. Their participation is a key part of our democratic process and we should all respect and thank them for putting in the effort and putting their name out there.”

Polling results as of election night can be found below:

  • PC Party of Ontario: Billy Denault 24,297 votes (54.8 per cent)
  • Ontario Liberal Party: Oliver Jacob 9,804 votes (22.1 per cent)
  • Ontario NDP: Marshall Buchanan 6,607 votes (14.9 per cent)
  • Ontario Party: Kevin Holm 1,587 votes (3.6 per cent)
  • Green Party of Ontario: Anna Maria Dolan 1,123 votes (2.5 per cent)
  • New Blue Party of Ontario: Mark Dickson 893 votes (2 per cent)

The Conservatives have won majority, sitting with 82 elected seats and will continue being the governing party of Ontario, with Doug Ford continuing as Premier.

This is the Conservative Party’s third term as majority after earning 43 per cent of the total vote.

Provincially, NDP is a distant second with 25 seats, earning 18.5 per cent of the vote,  Liberals came in with 14 seats and Green with 2.
