A rainfall warning is in effect today for the Madawaska Valley and surrounding communities.
It includes Hastings Highlands, Denbigh, Kaladar, Bannockburn, Bancroft and Bon Echo Park.
Environment Canada says about 40 to 60 millimetres of rain is expected to fall today, along with the possibility of thunderstorms.
There could also be localized flooding in low-lying areas.
