At the Inaugural Session of Renfrew County Council on December 10, Reeve Peter Emon was re-elected to the position of Renfrew County Warden for the seventh time.
He was nominated for the position by Councillor James Brose.
He had been challenged by Greater Madawaska Mayor Rob Weir, who was nominated by Councillor Gary Serviss.

A number of dignitaries were at the session including the mayors of Renfrew, Deep River and Arnprior.
Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski also shared a video message at the meeting.
