In support of the Madawaska Valley Foodbank, MooseFM was live on location today at the Valu-Mart from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and at the Barry’s Bay Metro from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Food bank donations can still be dropped off at either grocery store.
Those who would like to donate financially can do so by e-Transferring donations to [email protected].
According to the Madawaska Valley food bank, which supports surrounding areas such as Combermere and Madawaska, since Covid, food bank use has more than doubled.

According to Food banks Canada, over 2 million people in Canada visited food banks last year, almost 700,000 of those visits were for children.
The Madawaska Valley Food Bank is a registered charity which can issue tax receipts for donations.
