Proposed Lakeshore Drive Improvements

The redevelopment of Lakeshore Drive is on public works’ radar in Barry’s Bay.

The project, which could begin next year, would address both infrastructure and cosmetic needs.

Andrew Mansfield from AWP Consultants presented a plan to the Madawaska Valley Operations Committee outlining improvements.

Township Clerk and CAO Craig Kelly says routinely roads in the municipality are checked to see if work is needed.

Erosion control, repaving, new greenery and a paved shoulder are all included on the proposed plan.

The Operations Committee says the work could span over two years to accommodate the township’s budget.
