Over 150 bags of candy were handed out last Saturday at the Barry’s Bay annual Halloween Hunt.
“This is now a Halloween tradition for the community.” Madawaska Valley Public Library CEO Natalie Barrington told MooseFM. “We appreciate the cooperation of local business in donating the treats for the goodie bags, and putting the images in their store fronts. We could not do this event without their participation.”

There was more than candy to get excited about on the day, with lots of pop-ups around town.

The Barry’s Bay Rec Committee offered free hot dogs and drinks, the Station Keepers conjured up a Ghostbusters-themed haunted house, and Madawaska Coffee sold hot chocolate and cookies as a fundraiser for the library.
