Council Donation Going to Hospital Equipment

Madawaska Valley Council has made its fourth of five donations to the St. Francis Valley Health Care Foundation.

Council presented a cheque for $10,000 to the Executive Director of the foundation, Toni Levigne-Conway, Chair of the Hospital Board, Jasna Boyd and COO of the hospital Greg McLoed.

It’s part of the township’s commitment to the foundation in the form of the Families Helping Families Campaign.

Levigne-Conway says the money will be going to equipment in the hospital, which is not covered by provincial funding.

Madawaska is slated to donate a total of $50,000 over five years.

The foundation represents the local hospital, manor and hospice.
