Anyone with an interest in geology and the Group of Seven should check out Ken Card’s author talk at the Hastings Highlands Library in Maynooth Oct. 23.
Card, a geologist who was born in Lake St. Peter, will be discussing his latest book Special Places: Geology and the Art of the Group of Seven.
The book looks at how geologic processes over millennia have shaped Canadian landscapes, how these landscapes have been portrayed by the Group of Seven and how “in turn, these portrayals have influenced the way Canadian’s and others view the land”
