Valley Manor Long Term Care Home conducted a full evacuation drill on Tuesday.
According to Madawaska Valley Circles of Health, under the “keen observation” of Madawaska Valley Fire Chief, Corwin Quade, the team worked together seamlessly to execute the triennial safety drill.
Circles of health says that Valley Manor staff, residents, and emergency responders were all present and participated in making the evacuation exercise a success.
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care requires all long-term care homes to complete an evacuation exercise every three years so that staff and manor residents can be prepared in the event of an emergency.
