The Township of Madawaska Valley has announced it is preparing its Hazardous Waste disposal day.

Residents can bring anything from chemicals, florescent bulbs, propane tanks and antifreeze to be disposed of safely by the township.

From 10:00am to 4:00pm on August 20th residents of Madawaska can drop off any hazardous materials for disposal at the John J Yakabuski Community Centre in Barry’s Bay.

The township says hazardous waste is not picked up curbside and opportunities like this are a good chance to get rid of it.

For more information you can call the township at  (613) 756-2747
