This August Mayor Mark Wilmer and members of council met with MPP John Yakabuski to to celebrate two recent provincial grants received by the township.
The Community Emergency Preparedness Grant for $45,893 was used to purchase important supplies to better prepare the Township from the threat of wildfires and flooding.
Equipment purchased included forestry fire pumps and hoses, chain saws, a portable generator, and safety equipment.

The Inclusive Community Grant for $59,974 allowed for the purchase of 27 new accessible, all-weather picnic tables distributed to parks and beaches throughout our Township.
The Township says they are “grateful to the Province of Ontario for funding these important projects.”
