The MNRF and the province are issuing a challenge to Ontarians to spend more time enjoying the outdoors.

It’s part of the David Suzuki Foundation’s 30×30 Challenge, spending 30 minutes per day with nature for 30 days.

Ontario Parks says interacting with nature is proven to be good for both physical and mental health, and can provide stress relief.

The MNRF says it can be anything from your local provincial park, to your local garden, to your own backyard.

Balsam Lake, Algonquin, Bronte Creek, Frontenac, Killarney and Halfway Lake all have programming and events going on at this time of year.
