Nearly $7,000 has been raised by the 14th Annual Beach Volleyball Tournament in Barry’s Bay.

Thirty-seven teams went head-to-head in the day-long match-ups with all proceeds going to the Hunting’s Society of Canada.

One of the tournament’s organizers Emily Weatherbed says there was outstanding support from the community, local businesses and the many volunteers who gave up their time to run the event.

The Avengers took the group A title and JAFT won the B division.

The Huntington’s Society of Canada contributes to research and treatment across the country.
