Borrow some tackle and a rod from the library for free fishing week

Four times a year Canadians can fish for free and do not have to buy a fishing license.  This week is one of those times.

From June 29 to July 7, Canadian residents can fish for free.

Regular rules still must be followed, such as following the limits for fish size and how many fish you can catch.

For those who want to get out fishing but are short on supplies, the library in Barry’s Bay is offering a tackle share. According to the Madawaska Valley Public Library, you can borrow a tackle box and rod for up to 3 days.
