The Renfrew OPP is investigating complaints against a business in the county.
Police say the unnamed business is being investigated for accepting payments without ever providing what was paid for.
The OPP says you can protect yourself from this type of problem by not sending the full amount of payment for a product or service before receiving it.

When buying online, save your receipts and e-mails, and only pay using secure sites.
Don’t give your personal information, like a credit card number, to someone you don’t know and trust.
