The Killaloe OPP is reminding drivers to keep an eye out for moose when on the road.

Police say, last week, they responded to the scene of two collisions involving moose, with one of these happening in Algonquin Park.

Constable Catherine Yarmel says the weather is a major factor in these collisions.

Yarmel says you also have to be aware of where you’re driving.

She says you have to react quickly if you come across a moose on the road.

Yarmel says you can’t depend on seeing signs of a moose with your headlights.

She says it’s important to have working headlights, taillights and signal lights, along with keeping your windshield clean.

The Killaloe OPP responds to a number of collisions between moose and vehicles in Algonquin Park every year.
