No injuries after logging truck spills load in Madawaska Valley

Killaloe OPP say a logging truck lost its load and the driver received minor injuries in a recent collision. 

 

On May 14, just before 9 a.m., Killaloe OPP responded to a collision involving a logging truck on Paugh Lake Road near Peplinski Homestead Road, in the Township of Madawaska Valley. 

Investigation revealed the logging truck trailer tipped while rounding a corner, causing the logs to spill into the ditch.

A heavy tow was required in the collision.

Hydro One was also called to assist with a damaged hydro pole.

The driver from Russell was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The roadway remained closed for a short period of time to clear the area. No charges were laid.
