OPP swamped with calls about CRA scams

After recent reports of CRA scams affecting Madawaska Valley residents, the OPP says it is being inundated with calls across the province.

The OPP says some communications centres are getting more than 100 calls a day from people wanting to let them know they’ve been contacted by a scammer.

The OPP says you do not have to call police if you get a call from a scammer.

Instead, you are being asked to contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 or online at www.antifraudcentre.ca.
