Bancroft looks to improve safety at intersection

The town of Bancroft has put steps into place to reduce collisions with a traffic signal at the corner of Hastings Street North and Highway 28.

Work has been completed to move the traffic signal on the North East corner inwards by six feet.

Public Works Manager Perry Kelly says the traffic signal was recently compromised by a tractor trailer.

Moving the traffic signal will help mitigate the risk of collisions and give drivers a better turning radius.
