Jerome and Shirlee Etmanskie of Barry’s Bay are the week 20 Catch The Ace Winners
They say they’ve been supporting St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Catch the Ace lotteries since the beginning. They also know the value of local healthcare as Shirlee worked at the Valley Manor for 38 years.
Every week, the Etmanskies take turns picking an envelope number. This week, when they were getting their ticket from Lorraine’s Pharmacy, it was Shirlee’s turn. She chose envelope number 36 because it just stood out to her. When their ticket was pulled from the drum, they did find an Ace – but it was the Ace of Hearts.
Although they didn’t find the Ace of Spades and secure the progressive jackpot, the Etmanskies are taking home the weekly prize of $1,536.
Shirlee said while they don’t have any immediate plans for the cash, they will tuck it away for a rainy day.
