Stunt driving charges laid by Killaloe police

Police in Killaloe say that stunt driving charges have been laid.

On Feb 27 on HWY 41 in the Bonnechere valley, a driver from London was found to be travelling 158Km per hour in an 80 km zone. 

The driver was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle while Performing a Stunt – Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.  

The vehicle was towed and impounded for fourteen days. Their driver’s licence was seized and suspended for thirty days.

The defendant was issued a summons to appear at court in Pembroke. 

Police are reminding everyone that aggressive driving is a leading factor in fatal motor vehicle collisions.
