Bancroft’s Committee of the Whole is looking into alternatives for the town’s sewer and water contracts.
A motion was discussed by the committee, which states the town’s current $2-million sewer deficit can’t be maintained.
Councillor Bill Kilpatrick says, in order to develop a more affordable contract, the town will be looking at every possible alternative.

These discussions are expected to come back to council in August.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency’s contract with the town is up for renewal in September of next year.
