Pembroke ‘shelter In place’ has ended one person is in custody

Police say one person is in custody after a shooting incident in Pembroke.

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating.

On February 23, 2024, just before 6:30 a.m., OPP received a call about shooting at a location on McKenzie Street. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries.

A shelter in place had been issued to people in the immediate area as a precaution. There was no imminent threat to public safety.
