The North Hastings Fire Service wants you to be safe if you’re using fireworks on Canada Day.
They say to keep fireworks a good safe distance away from people, and choose a wide, clear site away from obstacles when setting them off.
If the fireworks don’t have a base, bury them about half way in a container filled with earth or sand, unless the label says differently.
