Public meeting will discuss new location for Madawaska Valley Food Bank  

A public meeting later this month will discuss a possible new location for the Madawaska Valley Food Bank. 

Madawaska Valley’s Planning Department is hosting the meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 9:15 a.m. at the Town Hall. People can also attend virtually. 

The area being discussed is the St. Francis Valley Herb Farm property, at 50 Lane St. 

A notice about the meeting says that it’s to discuss a zoning bylaw amendment to change the property from General Industrial land to Community Facility land to make the relocation possible.  

The food bank is currently located on Martin Street. St. Franics Valley Herb Farm’s property is off a dead-end street in Barry’s Bay’s northern neighborhood.
