Palmer Lions support local healthcare

With the holidays approaching, the Palmer Rapids and Area Lions Club has given a gift to its community. 

The club has donated $7,500 to support health care.  

Of that, $7,000 is going to St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s campaign to purchase a mammography unit for St. Francis Memorial Hospital.  

The final $500 has been donated for presents for Valley Manor residents.  

Foundation staff thanked the club for the donation and want to remind people that the mammography campaign, also called the Tree of Lights campaign, continues until the end of the year.
