As winter weather sets in, icy conditions are already causing some collisions on the roads.

Killaloe OPP says ice was a factor in a single-vehicle collision on Nov. 13 on Wilno South Road. A driver lost control near Inukshuk Road and rolled over. The car was towed but no injuries were reported.

Police say icy conditions also factored in a Nov. 15 single-vehicle collision on Combermere Road. A pickup driver lost control and hit a rock cut. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Another recent collision led to a driver being charged. Police were called to Highway 60 in Killaloe Hagarty Richards on Nov. 17 for a two-vehicle collision. A driver was charged for following too closely. Paramedics treated one person for minor injuries.

More snow and ice is expected tonight. The forecast calls for snow and ice pellets and 5 cm to 10 cm of snow is possible.
