This Saturday, Bancroft residents will get a dose of history.
Pieces of history from North Hastings, Hastings County and Canada will be on display at the Village Playhouse during a performance of “Here Comes Sir John, Eh,” which features actors portraying our first Prime Minister and his wife.
Councillor Mary Kavanagh says you can expect to see some artifacts at the Village Playhouse ahead of the performance.
Kavanagh says she will also be presenting a brief history of Bancroft during the performance, which takes place at 7:00pm on Saturday.
Some of the funds raised will go to the Bancroft North Hastings Heritage Museum.
