OPP Say To Do Your Homework About Scams

The OPP say scams continue to circulate the area.

Police want residents to do their homework before giving out personal information and money.

They say they still receive reports of fraudsters pretending to be from CRA, as well as people impersonating an organization asking for donations.

They say most of the scams are online.

Officials say people may also receive a phone call.

If you suspect you may be a victim of fraud or have been tricked into giving personal or financial information, contact your local OPP.
