Some local hockey champions have been crowned
The Barry’s Bay Bears won the Under 13 division of Mineral Capital Cup tournament, held in Bancroft on Saturday.
They beat the Highland Storm in the A final.

The Under 11 division was won by the Bancroft Jets.
MV Wolves lose to Deseronto
In other hockey news, Jesse Dick scored three goals, but it wasn’t enough as the Madawaska Valley Wolves lost 7-5 to the Deseronto Bulldogs on Saturday night.
The game ended a string of four straight homes games at the Yakabuski Centre for the new Eastern Ontario Senior Hockey League franchise.
The Wolves’ next two games are on the road. Their next home game is Saturday, Nov. 18, when they take on the Centre Hastings Ice Minors.
