Who are the smartest people in Madawaska Valley, at least when it comes to trivia?

We’ll have an idea following Madawaska Valley Public Library’s Trivia Night on Friday, Oct. 27.

The semiannual fundraiser runs at 7 p.m. at the Yakabuski Centre. Teams of six pay $75 to enter, with proceeds supporting the library.

CEO Natalie Barrington says there’s still time for teams to register for the event, which is a fun challenge.

“People like the Library Trivia Night, because there are hard questions and easy questions and questions in between,” she says. “It’s not just local history, it’s popular culture, current events, history, science, all over the place.”

The library is behind another community event on Saturday, Oct. 28..

It’s the Haunted Hunt, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. People can come to the library and get a map for a scavenger hunt, which will take them to area businesses. Those who complete the hunt can return to the library for a prize.
