Santa Claus is soon coming to town.
Plans are underway for the 57th annual Barry’s Bay Santa Claus parade on Saturday, Dec. 2.
The Madawaska Valley Lions Club-run event is scheduled from 12 noon to 3 p.m. It starts on Kelly Street and makes its way to Paugh Lake Road, before moving onto the Opeongo Line, where it moves east, to the Arena Road intersection. It then wraps up at the Paul. J. Yakabuski Community Centre.
A motion to close the streets to vehicle traffic for the parade will be tabled at Madawaska Valley council on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
