Public Health Removes Beach Posting

The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Unit has removed the warning sign at Wellington Beach because the water is now safe to swim in.

The posting was originally made because of bacteria.

Officials will be taking water samples throughout the summer and test it for high levels of bacteria which could make swimmers sick.

They say if the quality of the water is unsafe at a beach, a warning sign will be posted.

The test results can be found on the health unit’s website.
