Killaloe OPP issued dozens of charges over the weekend, in an effort to keep roads safe.

The detachment issued 30 speeding charges, two impaired charges, one Cannabis Act charge and two Liquor Licence Act charges, among others.

The Labour Day weekend patrols were to address what police call the “Big 4” issues which lead to dangers on the roads.

They are impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving and lack of seatbelt use.

OPP says it’s “committed to public safety on our roadways” and that safe driving “is a shared responsibility.”
