A wide variety of items are up for bids in an online auction that’s raising money for health care needs this month.

The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation auction runs until 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1.

More than 90 items are up for grabs and can be bid on here.

Coordinator Rosanne Hoffman says “there’s something for everybody” in the auction.

There’s even work by Florence Bloskie-Murray, a local artist who died recently, and donated exclusively to the auction.

“In the past two years she donated 11 paintings,” Hoffman says. “Those 11 paintings sold, and she raised $3,400 for the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.”

“This year we have seven more of her paintings available for bidding. She grew up here, loved the area and was so pleased with the reception (from the auction).”

The Foundation hopes to raise over $15,000 for new equipment at St. Francis Memorial Hospital.

The intent is to purchase two new works stations on wheels, two stretchers and a telemetry unit pack, which allows cardiac patients to be monitored remotely.
