A County program that helps new entrepreneurs thrive is looking for its next participants.

Enterprise Renfrew County’s Starter Company Plus program has announced its spring graduates and is now getting ready for its autumn intake.

Participants are given business coaching. That includes help with making business plans and projecting cash flows.

At the end of the program, they can make a pitch for a grant of up to $4,000.

Eight entrepreneurs just completed the spring program and earned a combined $28,000 in grant money.

Among those graduates are Combermere’s Yvonne Nobbs, of Highlands Outfitters; Wilno’s Tammy Reimer of Valley Angels; Eganville’s Kathryn Stuart of Northern Viking Farm; and Killaloe’s Divya Vivekanandan of Nala’s Kitchen.

Those interested in the program can contact Small Business Advisor Heather Inwood-Montrose at [email protected] to learn more.

The program is open to entrepreneurs who’ve been running a business for five years or less. The deadline for applications for the fall program is Aug. 25.
