As of today, summer has started, and Environment Canada has a few predictions.
Meteorologist Peter Kimbell says the weather should be hotter than average as we enter the season.
Kimbell says June has also been a very dry month with only 25 to 30 millimetres of rain.

The average rainfall for the month of June is 81 millimetres.
