Heathcare supporters are getting ready to release butterflies into the air later this month. They’ll do so while thinking about loved ones they’ve lost and how to make for a better future.
St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Memorial Butterfly Release takes place on Sunday, July 30. It’s at Water Tower Park. Registration is at 1 p.m. The release and other activities take place between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The annual event has participants purchase butterflies, with proceeds going to palliative health care needs in the community.
The cost is $35 for one butterfly or $100 for three. The Foundation asks that butterflies be reserved by July 14.
Those who purchase can attend the event for the big release or take their butterfly home to release on their own.
