A Combermere quilters group has thread a new path to support health care.
A group of quilters created a social club last fall and began meeting every Tuesday morning to work on projects together. They served light refreshments at their meetings and men paid a fee to enjoy the snacks and socialize.
They ended up raising $500, which they donated to St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation. The money will go to palliative care services.
