OPP investigating mischief, lays stolen vehicle charge

Killaloe OPP is asking for the public’s help in a mischief investigation.  

Police were called to Palmer Rapids Public School, where graffiti was painted on a storage shed. They believe it happened between June 16 and 20.  

Anyone with information is asked to call Killaloe OPP at 613-757-2600 or Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.valleytips.ca. You could receive a cash reward of up to $2,000. 

Traffic stop, leads to vehicle theft charge 

In other police news, a Killaloe OPP traffic stop led to a teenager being charged for stealing a vehicle.

Police were sent to Hwy. 60 in North Algona Wilberforce at about 2 p.m. on June 22, after receiving a traffic complaint.  

They arrived to find an abandoned vehicle.  Police say, a short time later, with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, the driver was located.

A 19-year-old from Quebec was charged with theft of a motor vehicle. The teen was released and given an Aug. 9 court day in Killaloe.
