Total Fire Ban in effect for Madawaska Valley as MNRF declares a Restricted Fire Zone

With temperatures soaring and little rain in the forecast the Township is moving to a total fire ban. That means no open flames are allowed.

As well the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has declared the area a Restricted Fire Zone because of the extreme forest fire hazard.

That means all current burn permits are suspended.
