Cottage season is here, but it’s not vacation time for Killaloe OPP, which has three investigations underway for which it’s asking for the public’s help.

Two theft investigations launched just as the holiday weekend started.

Police were called on Friday, May 19 to a cottage on Opeongo Road in Bonnechere Valley where an ATV and trailer were stolen. The ATV is a green 2013 Suzuki King Quad 500. The trailer is homemade with wooden sides.  Police believe they were stolen between Sunday, May 14 and Friday, May 19.

Also, on May 19, police were called to a home on Hwy. 60 in North Algona-Wilberforce where a canoe was stolen. It’s a 14-food Scott White Water model. Police believe it was stolen that morning.

The third investigation is related to mischief at a park on Queen Street in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards. Police were called to the park at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17. A glass display was smashed and rocks were placed in a culvert, causing water damage to walking trails.

Anyone with information on any of these cases is asked to call Killaloe OPP at 613-757-2600 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS. You can also report online at www.valleytips.ca.
