With the Victoria Day weekend almost here more boats are now on local waterways That means OPP Marine Officers will be on the water, promoting boat safety.
Killaloe OPP is participating in the Canada Safety Boating Week Campaign which runs Saturday, May 20 to Monday, May 22.
Police advise boaters to ensure their vessel is working properly and check the weather before heading out.

They also suggest you familiarize yourself with Canada’s Safe Boating Guide and ensure you have a lifejacket on. Police say many victims killed in boating incidents were not wearing lifejackets.
