Think about home safety, share stories to mark Emergency Preparedness Week  

This week is being recognized as Emergency Preparedness Week across Canada and Madawasaka Valley is encouraging people to get involved.  

The Township is sharing some tips from Public Safety Canada that families should take.   

Among the tips is to always have an emergency kit on hand. It should have water, food that won’t spoil, flashlights and batteries and – of course – a radio. 

The national campaign is encouraging people to share stories on social media about how their family is prepared for emergencies.  

Messages, photos and videos can be posted with the hashtags #ReadyforAnything and #EPWeek2023.
